Trump said he would hold a rally for Ted Cruz in Texas' 'Biggest Stadium'. The venue he booked is not even close.


"With Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) facing an ongoing threat from El Paso Rep. Beto O'Rourke, President Donald Trump said in August that he would come to the Lone Star State to hold a rally for the embattled far-right senator.

This one is pretty simple. If someone paying random people who answer CL ads enough to show up by thousands, or even hundreds, to these rallies, then that is quite an operation which is certainly going to produce more of a footprint than a screenshot that anyone could make in a few minutes. Out of the millions of wiseasses in this country, not a single one answers the ad for the purpose of exposing how it works, who pays, etc., and the entire operation involving random people on CL is more tight-lipped than the NSA.

How is that even possible?

2. Using a throwaway email account post an ad on CL for “Gullible People Wanted To Post Fake News On Social Media.”

3. Take a screenshot of the ad.

Okay, now, is that a “fake ad”? Well, no, it is an actual ad that was posted on Craigslist. So in that sense it is a “real CL ad” since it was posted there. So I guess we’ll need a working definition of “fake” for the purpose of this discussion.

However, if you believe, on the basis of this frequently-posted item, that thousands of people across the country are getting paid to attend Trump rallies, and none of them ever talks about it, shows the money, describes how and where they get paid or by who, then it takes a certain level of trust in “things posted on the internet by strangers” which is a big part of the REAL problem we have as a country - people who uncritically believe shit on the internet.

For his initial campaign kickoff, he DID hire actors through an agency. This was all well-documented by the actors themselves. But the notion that he’s filling stadiums, even partially, through CL ads Is the “George Soros is busing in illlegsl voters” of the left.

With him, it's always crowd size and ratings, even if he has to pay for it. Now that FOX isn't covering his rallies non-stop anymore, he's going to go berserk.

Fox was running the rallies without interruption, so there were blocks of over an hour that they weren't getting any ad revenue!

When he called around saying it was Donald Trump looking to rent out a stadium, with his record of stiffing people, an 8,000 seater probably WAS the biggest stadium he could find--that would do business with him.
