Just drove into town, saw 35 McGrath signs, and 4 for Andy Barr.

(6,377 posts)I remember there being a lot of talk in 2016 that yard signs aren't that important, they don't accurately predict turnout, etc...but I saw more Trump yard signs in my neck of the woods than I had ever seen for a Republican in any election, and it made me nervous. Sure enough, my county that went blue in 2008 and 2012 turned red.
Like CaliforniaPeggy said. They don't vote, but they do indicate support and I'd argue that they also an indicator of overall voter enthusiasm.
I live in red Elkhart County Indiana right now, and the Donnelly support in yard signs is incredible, I'm seeing 3 or 4 Donnelly signs for each 1 Braun sign. Now, I'm not expecting him to win in Elkhart County...but it's a good indicator that Democrats in Indiana are fired up to keep him in the Senate.
