I think that it's a 50/50 chance that he will. Especially when the economy starts turning to shit. Some Republicans may think that a primary might be their chance to get their party back from Trump's cult. Flake and Kasich are my most likely guesses.

They won't primary him. They're either too scared of him and his cult or they agree with his nonsense. | |

(20,864 posts)He's got what he wanted and doesn't need to run again. If he survives two more years, he knows no former president has gone to jail.

(4,611 posts)But they will be utterly crushed -- not just electorally, but personally and professionally -- by conservative entertainment and the party apparatus.
The GOP is now uniformly a white nationalist/Trump party. There's no "resistance" movement for a challenger to tap into.

(22,236 posts)He'll tell his base that he was the best president in history and a bunch of other horseshit, and then he'll give them some feeble excuse as to why he isn't running again, that is, if he isn't in jail by that time, the fucking traitor.

3) How many of delusional donny's 'base' are delegates... (I think they decide the winner of the convention?)
Personally I feel he'd do the world a favor by just dropping dead... maybe choke on a chicken bone and be 'helped' by one of the people who informed him he had TP stuck to his shoe.

Imagine Trump focusing on one opponent within his party instead of a dozen or more. That will be the Ted Cruz treatment but for much longer than Cruz endured
