He talks tough but he knows whats coming. He watched what happened to his life long friend Manafort. He watched Manafort fight and lose. He watched him turn into a canary. He watched him pushed into court in a wheel chair, a broken down old man.
Stone knows what his fate is. The indictments of Stone and all other American traitors is next on Muellers list of things to do. Those indicted will turn like those before them.
Once that is done, Mueller will put together his report that will read like an indictment. An indictment backed up by undeniable evidence.
Evidence that will shock the American people. Evidence even the Tea Party traitors in congress cannot deny.
Hell is coming for Trump and all the traitors who supported him.

(7,813 posts)That's blatant theatrics. Manafort's throwing himself a pity party and nobody wants to attend.
A scared Roger Stone is a terrific idea. Now he can get a little of what he dished out for decades. What a wasted life.

(9,426 posts)It really bothers me to watch some people act as though tRump is a legitimate president. He is an incompetent ass. He THINKS he is taken seriously by other world leaders, when in reality they are as disgusted as most thinking Americans are. I hope Mueller has the goods on McConnell and Ryan, too. Speaking of wheelchairs, remember Cheney appearing in one for President Obama's inauguration? He should have just stayed away, nobody would have missed him.

(12,618 posts)The longest I was ever in jail for was 12 hours, for protesting the Iraq War. Even that brief stay was stressful and dehumanizing. And I'm a 6'4" tall ex-boxer who has worked very physical jobs with some very physical people. If it was stressful for me, I'm sure it's going to be hell for somebody like Manafort or Stone. And they're going to be there much longer than 12 hours.

Comey certainly managed to screw Hillary's chances right before the election with misinformation and lies, why the hell can't truth and facts be put out there now instead of giving the right wing a reprieve for the election?

(22,976 posts)In order to feel terror, Stone would have to have an emotional palette and a conscience, and he possess neither. I doubt he feels much of anything, other than annoyance, which is why hes been able to do all the genuinely horrible things hes said and done over the decades.
Remember the convicted Nazi war criminals whose last words were, Heil Hitler! Stone fits right in with in that league.
Still, no one deserves prison time more than the traitor Stone, an enemy of humanity.

(14,586 posts)I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Yet, I must also have empathy for the victims of people like Stone. I just had, and am still having, a horrible ordeal with my Sears warranty on my refrigerator, which has not been working for over a month now because the people at Sears pass the buck over and over and over and over. Honestly, I got so stressed out, I had to visit Urgent Care.
So, you know, think about capitalism - all of the horrors and evils that happen to people like you and me because of the primacy of profit over people, of shareholders over workers, consumers and the environment.
Stone, Manafort, and the rest - they have delighted in ripping us off, exploiting us, oppressing us for decades. Sadly for them, it is now time to pay the piper.
I feel pity for these old men who will be imprisoned, but justice cannot be served any other way.
By the way, for those making rape jokes about people going to prison - those jokes aren't funny. Prisons are hell on earth. How many prisoners get HIV from being raped? How many die by violence while the guards look the other way? or perhaps die at the hands of the guards? How many have needed urgent medical care only to die horrible deaths in their cells because guards either thought they were faking, or were instructed to ignore medical complaints to cut costs.
No, prison isn't funny, ever. It isn't a joke. After we take power again, we need to get rid of private prisons, and work to reform them so that people sent there can be safe. They are sent to prison to live in a cage for the period of their sentence. The confinement is supposed to be the punishment. Violence at the hands of other prisoners and guards needs to be stopped. Justice works both ways.
When people get out of prison, they have served their time and under the eyes of the law are even with the house. Next time you are in a position to give an ex-offender a second chance, try it. Maybe you'll be helping someone turn their life around.
