or voting third party.

This is what happens when you lose the majority in the Senate, House, and WH.

Elections have consequences.

There can be no "good faith" negotiations when one party simply lies and cheats with impunity.

He is at a disadvantage for being in the minority party because these hearings and confirmations were going to happen whether they were there or not. The GOP has essentially upended the very types of rules that have been in place for over 230 years.

It's called "MATH", something that some of the millennials, like this tweeter, seem to have no concept of.

They need to put the fucking smartphones down and start reading some of this - https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/GPO-RIDDICK-1992/content-detail.html

but they won't turn on any of the CSPANs unless maybe there is some controversial hearing (and even then, they still prefer to watch them on anything but CSPAN). And when I say "CSPAN", I don't mean those pundit programs with callers. I mean actually watch a committee legislation mark-up hearing or the debate during a "Committee of the Whole House" session or any of CSPAN 3's "American History TV" segments that happen on weekends.

Folks need to stop feeding into the phony attacks on the party which are coming from both the right-wing and purported "left-wing" sources.

And many of the people beating up on Democrats for "caving" or "not fighting hard enough" were the same ones bitching in 2010 and 2014 that President Obama didn't do every single thing they wanted so they insisted on not voting or voting third party "to teach him a lesson." Of course, the result was not only turning the House and then the Senate over to Republican control, but because these brilliant political operatives pulled that crap in a year ending in zero, they helped to guarantee that Republicans controlled a majority of statehouses and therefore the redistricting process across the country, thereby cementing Republican advantage for at least 10 years.

Way to go, people.

And now they do nothing but harangue the Democrats for not turning water into wine.

In 2014, so-called "Democrats" were running away from Obama - for example, in KY, where Grimes did her best to keep a distance. Because. "Obamacare" (despite the fact that her governor at the time - Steve Beshear - had successfully implemented it there)... And she ultimately lost big to Turtle, giving us 6 more years of him, where he gleefully rammed through the revenue-busting, deficit/debt loaded tax cuts for the wealthy and their corporations, and ensured that the most activist and criminal jurist in modern times was seated on the Supreme Court.

I saw that Beshear's son Andy has declared to run for governor in 2019. Let's hope some folks there wake up.

but it has everything to do with documenting in the Congressional Record what steps were taken to not be "good Germans" when you are politically in the minority, where one side is determined to go down a path of removing any trace of the "honor system" that this country's Congress has operated under for 231 years.

It is literally a house of cards and exasperating the tit for tat will destroy it for good.
