The scene at the Whitehouse is a perfect example of what I have been saying about fascism.

Fascism is like a silent cancer. You don't know you have it until it is too late. It effects people of all races. Fascism does not discriminate.

And it's all, "No one gets attacked more than I do!" (Well, I do think of Tamir Rice...0

"I get attacked all the time! I won't mention specifics because this is a special day, where (garble garble 100% something)."

"But I'm always attacked."

He goes on and on about him being attacked all the time. It's INSANE. These are young people here because they've been leaders in their schools and communities, and here's some crazy old guy ranting about how he's being attacked.

He cannot even perform the most minimal task of being a human being, like talking about someone other than himself.

in other parts of the world and felt grateful to be American, the word we use to describe, often without really understanding, being citizens of a liberal democracy?

We desperately need more people to understand that connection and, instead of being thoughtless and spoiled, to realize how precious what we have is. And, as they watch their screens, to understand that those people really could be them.
