Trump brought out a Group of Black Young Conservatives

into the Briefing Room..When he addressed the nation about the Capture of the Bomber. This Morning..

It was so weird to see a group of Blacks (Conservatives) Cheering Trump on..

It was also weird especially when the crowd broke into.. CNN SUCKS CHANT!

Trump Smiling proudly shouting out to them.."How many of you would like to be President One Day?"

The Response was all glee!

Wow! Something was very wrong about this.. I'm glad they were there, not happy about the manner in which he used them...

I'm sure many in our Black Community will react with dismay.

I have heard conservative friends and family members tear into our own ethnic group worse than any White racist could. Some conservative people of color are even crazier than the White ones.

I wouldn't be surprised if both words were accurate.

I understand that conservatism is not monolithic. Some people are "free marketers" some are anti-choice. What gets me is that the ultimate goal of conservatism is to slow down any progress and change to society and in many cases, the conservative has a longing to return to a time when "life was better". When you talk to White conservatives they either can't or they don't want to say exactly when life was better for them because it is typically a time when women and minorities had fewer legal protections.

What to Black and Brown conservatives want to conserve? What time do they want to return to when life was better?

I also understand about internalized oppression and wanting to side with the dominant group, but man that is a delusional process.

If Trump didn't come from money, he'd be in prison or at the bottom of the East River by now.

But in my opinion he upholds the MAGAt's far too often. I don't see this administration being "soft" with people of color. At one time he was one of my favorite journalists but as time has passed I turn the channel when he comes on. As far as I'm concerned he's a real disappointment.
