Come on Van.... Stop being so unrealistic... I like your style...but please quit pretending that he could tone it down. He Can't! He's Evil.. So treat him as you would treat a very bad virus!

(53 posts)I gotta say shoe on other foot Repugs would make sure we own every single sticker. They would be out now making it the mother of all wedge issues up until the election.
We got them off balance, leaders need to push all of them as complicit for not coming out to condemn two years of rhetoric.
I am here in Sacramento and the bomb found is surrounded by residential homes, media talked with neighbors and they are freaked out, common concern what if it went off or mailed to the wrong address.
Dems need to come out final weeks before the election and make it pretty clear if you want more of the same vote Repug. Dotard is not going to tone it down. The reality, these are the type of people that will never jump to another party so I say go for the knockout politicize the hell out of it. They would!

(149,625 posts)I absolutely agree with you.
tRump doesn't know how to tone it down, nor does he want to. It's just not his style.
And we can make political hay with it!

(7,725 posts)He perfectly displayed the horror I felt. That's for sure. I think he vocalized concern for his daughter(s?) and was scared. He knew what we all knew. Don was dangerous. We all have know someone kind of like don. It was a horrifying night.
Everything we've seen has confirmed our fears. I think he' remains deeply concerned. The road this is running is one of ruin. At least Mr. Jones spoke up. It may fall on deaf ears, but, the REST of humanity knows Americans don't agree w him. He is after all, still in office and has broken most everything sacred in America he can. So for foreigners looking on who don't know any better, take a different view of Americans based on his awful behavior. Not ok. NOT ok. I never led my life to be measured by don trumps yardstick w peoples opinions overseas. Americans have provided tax dollars and military protection support when the world needed us. That's what America is. VAST expenditures have been made to let the world know we are a grand civilization, bc we are. Needs to stop somewhere. We are all being harmed. Each in small(?) ways but in a macro sense, the nation is being harmed irreparably everyday this whole fiasco and illegitimacy goes on.
If not now? When. I applaud Van Jones. I didn't read it all but I get the gist. Redemption is near. We aren't wired for hatred (by and large) in America. This has to end somewhere. We hit a crucial tipping point today. Why squander it?
Starts today maybe.

(62,416 posts)in a few days the media will be rife with stories of this guy palling around with Dems all over the place.
They never tone down, just twist and lie.

(64,933 posts)impeach and convict. That would be the ultimate humiliation for tRump, but I can never see the Republic Party standing up for the American people. It's always party before country for them.
