Fox Newss Geraldo Rivera attributed his own intelligence to his dabbling this week in the conspiracy theory that Democrats planted pipe bombs among their own to galvanize their voters and embarrass President Donald Trump.

As recently as Thursday night, Rivera was calling the bomb scares a heavy-handed elaborate hoax intended to make Trump look bad.
Cesar Sayoc, a middle-aged Floridian who drove a van plastered with pro-Trump, anti-Democrat decals, was arrested Friday morning in connection to the attempted attacks.

(37,160 posts)...so he decided he'd do better as an independent. Thus stunts like Al Capone's vault, mediocre gigs like like his Jerry-Springer-esque afternoon talk show, and other less than stellar ventures, including his finding safe harbor on FOX.
I tend to suspect his success on ABC owed a great deal to the resources the network was able to provide for him. It wasn't so much that something happened to him as it was that once he left there was no effective check on his showboating tendencies.

He could have made a career of using that talent. Instead he sold his soul to a sewer.

(11,738 posts)People on the left have had "conspiracy theories" which we have posited. Before it was known through records, it was believed that the FBI was trying to subvert leftist groups like the Black Panthers, SNCC, and that they might be trying to go after MLK and Malcolm X. Lo and behold, those suspicions were true.
Right wing conspiracies (9/11 trutherism, Birtherism, Chemtrails, weather control, Lizard people, Sandy Hook crisis actors, Pizza Gate) and now the right wing bomber remain sweat drenched fantasies.
Is it that we on the left are just so much better than right wingers at covering up our sinister plots? OR Is it that right winger are just dumb, crazy, and desperate?
