Trump is angry all this 'Bomb stuff' has disrupted his fake 'caravan' crisis

by Kerry Eleveld, Daily Kos Staff

"SNIP....

But let’s focus for a second on what Trump’s unconscionable stream of consciousness is revealing: Trump’s political people aren’t giving him happy news at the moment and he wants Republicans to “go out and vote!” Trump was clearly seething about being knocked off his fake crisis message about the “caravan” of several thousand refugees. That’s the message Trump hoped would drive the day.

“To those in the Caravan, turnaround, we are not letting people into the United States illegally,” Trump tweetedThursday afternoon. Trump’s apparent plan to seal off the nation’s southern border using as many as 1,000 active-duty U.S. troops just happened to make its way to the New York Times Thursday night, fresh for Friday morning consumption. The report appropriately framed the initiative as a cynical political ploy to gin up Trump’s base.

The effort would be the starkest indication yet of Mr. Trump’s election-season push to play to his anti-immigrant base as his party fights to keep control of Congress.

But then on Friday morning several more explosive deviceswere discovered, once again targeting Trump’s political opponents. How inconvenient for him. This “Bomb’ stuff” is really throwing Trump off his game. And his game is manufacturing the fake crisis of his choosing solely for political purposes, rather than actually trying to hold the country together in a moment of genuine crisis.

these folks are refugees fleeing some major life threatening areas of South America. These folks are some twelve hundred miles away and at 20 miles a day,do the friggin math, 60 days at best. When this story broke months ago,the organizers forecast Christmas as their target.

It means that you care about the people who support you AND the people who do not, like President Obama did. It means understanding that we are all American.

Trump doesn't even see the humanity in his own followers. I doubt he sees it in his own family. He seems truly devoid of the capacity for empathy. To him everyone and everything is transactional (You praise me, I will praise you. You criticize me, I will try to destroy you). I have even tried to see the underlying trauma that drives Trump's behavior, but it is extremely difficult to get beyond the disgust reaction at this point to see any humanity there. If I were a therapist and Trump came to me, I don't know if I'd be able to work with him. I could not be objective or empathetic to him, not that he'd ever come in because he shows little to no insight into his own significant psychological problems.
