I remember our response to the shooting that injured Rep. Scalise and others

Here’s what I remember:

1. We were glad that no one other than the shooter was killed.

2. We thought this was just one more example where someone who had no business buying a gun was nonetheless able to purchase one.

3. We hoped (against hope) that this situation might change the way Rep. Scalise might view common sense gun control.

No claims of “false flags” or that the shooter was anyone other than who he was. No gloating about people being injured. No excusing the shooters actions.

None of that at all.

Republicans don't care about taking the high road. In fact, they like it down in sewer.

Saying... Both sides do the same thing, comparing that incident to the #MAGAbomber. I wanted to jump out of the car.

Not to mention that the guy who did the shooting opposed the Democratic nominee, too.

https://heavy.com/news/2017/06/james-hodgkinson-alexandria-gop-baseball-shooter-shooting-gunman-identified-illinois/

In August 2016, after Sanders had lost the Democratic nomination, he posted on Facebook, “I want Bernie to Win the White House,” along with a petition calling for Sanders to join the Green Party.

“Bernie is a Progressive, while Hillary is Republican Lite,” he wrote.

In another post he wrote, “#ScreamAsOne #NeverVotingHill,” and “You’ve been warned DNC. I will NEVER vote Hillary. A nomination for Hillary equals a win for Trump. #NOTWithHer.”

instead of a reprimand, that’s what you get.

I never thought I’d see a president who inspires the worst in people, yet here we are. They react to criticism the way he does: by attacking the critic. Never a moment of introspection or self-improvement. Just a knee-jerk reaction.

I almost wish Hillary had called them shitstains, so they’d run around proudly saying, “I’m a shitstain!”

Cause for a while it looked like Scalise would not make it.

The wingers celebrated John McCains death. They truly are deplorable.
