The dark horse of the 2018 elections - Prediction

We really won't know if we will or will not have a blue wave until after today's Souls to the Polls events, but I think there is a dark horse in the race that we are not considering. There are Republicans who are worn down by their own friends and family members who are rabid MAGAs. Some of them feel like Trump is ruining this country. The MAGA bomber and MAGA shooter are the last straws. They might not turn up on any polls, but we might benefit from their ire in the voting booth.

What might happen, is that those Republicans who are "worn down" may not vote at all... Stuart G Oct 2018 #1

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Just like with Democrats, there are Republicans out there who vote strictly party line. Or Republicans who believe their party is better for the economy. Some of them have GOT to feel disgust at Drumpf and his administration and will hopefully vote for Democrats just to help balance the power. Some do care about the soaring deficit and they certainly care about wiped-out stock market gains. Perhaps Rs in the intelligence community will vote for Democrats, at least for Abigail Spanberger over Dave Brat in Virginia:

And blaming the victims of a mass shooting is NOT going to sit well with suburban women. They just need to vote!
