Cecil and David Rosenthal loved going to Saturday morning services at Tree of Life congregation.
They went every week without fail, said Chris Schopf, vice president of residential supports for ACHIEVA, which manages the home where the two brothers lived.
If they were here they would tell you that is where they were supposed to be," she said.
The Rosenthal brothers, Cecil, 59, and David, 54, both of Squirrel Hill, were killed Saturday during the mass shooting at the synagogue that killed 11 people.

There is a beautiful post in the Jewish Group about them that was posted by Mosby that should be read. The brothers had developmental disabilities and lived in a group home. I dont think there are enough tears to cry while thinking of these gentle brothers facing such hate.

(13,776 posts)I'm glad that they were so loved and that their lives were happy, but it's extra cruel that such sweet and gentle men were killed so heartlessly and hatefully.

(63,221 posts)I have tears in my eyes after reading this. I know it sounds cliche, but why does it always seem like the good are the victims of this senseless violence, while these evil, hateful bastards in Washington seem to live forever? It just isn't fair. Sometimes I think if there really is a hell, maybe we are already living in it.

(575 posts)Going to service, which is a peaceful and devotion act as well as being around friends and getting murdered for it. Why so much hate these days?
