A modest proposal to increase turnout (especially early):

I realize there's no practical way to do this, but once you've voted you receive a code that can be provided to your cable / satellite / streaming provider that will opt you out of viewing any more political commercials.

I say this because I am over all of these hateful RW commercials...I have never been more excited to vote.

Cable, satellite and IPTV providers insert their own ads over the top of those provided by the program providers. Also with digital delivery, your channel number is not indicative of the particular data stream that is being fed for that channel. So a TV provider could have two versions of a particular channel... one with political adverts and one without. Punch in a code, and your TV provider changes your TV set top box to receive the non-political version.

Mind you there is a very easy way to avoid all those ads. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, other content providers without advertising, DVDs, and... turn off the TV and go outside and do something more interesting instead...
