We can't get complacent. We were complacent in 2010 and let this crap get a foothold. We were complacent again in 2014 and let it reach critical mass. We were complacent in 2016 and watched it explode.

We made it happen in 2018, but this is just the beginning. This country has serious problems that will not be fixed by one election. This has to be the start of serious momentum for the next 20+ years at least. We can't go back to the yo-yo mode of governance.

The democracy stands to continue to fight for its existence.

Had we not taken the House, the Republic would have been doomed. We now have the capacity to continue the fight. The Republic may yet survive.

The battle is not won but we continue to fight.
