I’ll throw in two cents on Wisconsin Senate race. Tammy Baldwin’s win was comfortable yet not necessarily indicative with what will happen in the Governor’s race. Baldwin was polling ahead of Tony Evers, who is trying to unseat Gov. Scott Walker. Wisconsin voters have a history of splitting the ticket.

An interesting sidenote to the midwest governor conversation: Democrats are expected to cleanly sweep Senate races in that terrain. Incumbents in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are heavy favorites to be reelected. All four were expected to face stiff challenges at the start of the cycle that never quite materialized

Walker — after victories in 2010, 2012 (recall) and 2014 — is in the fight of his political life against Evers, the state superintendent of public instruction.
