Scottsdale AZ had a 50% turnout yesterday.

Because of that, a living, breathing actual Democrat was elected to city council!

(It's technically a non-partisan race, but it really is partisan).

Also, an anti-developer proposition managed to pass handily. Unheard of in Scottsdale.

In worse news, Maricopa County voted to dismantle their community college system, so it looks like I'm going to be out of a job....

what about the com college? my sister lives up there and even taught a couple classes, I hadn't heard about this???

The governing board for the Maricopa comm colleges is trying to dismantle the system.
They are hostile to public education.

Last night we had the chance to get a sane majority, and lost.

So, the dismantling will continue....
