I used to think they were using the Christian right and the abortion issue by ginning them up and never doing anything about so they could keep them ginned.
I thought they were used.
But they were not.
They were just deplorable people voting for more deplorable people

The republican electorate, at its best, is like the crowd of enablers standing around a schoolyard bully. They see something wrong, but are too much of a wimp to stand up to the bully.

At their worst, they are downright complicit with republican values and dysfunction. I can’t at all undestand how republicans just gloss over their party’s support for candidates like Roy Moore and trump. Seriously, that says a lot about what is important to them as people. Apparently it’s alright if their elected officials diddle minors so long as they get to push their shitty agenda on America. It’s all about priorities, I guess.

I don't think Trump has any idea how much distrust and animosity he's cultivated with his polarizing methods.

WOW -- Trump unloads on Jim Acosta, says "CNN should be ashamed of themselves having you working for them. You are rude, terrible person. You should not be working for CNN."

This just proves that if reporters had really been persistent before the election, the Cheeto meltdowns would have exposed him in plenty of time. People would have seen his true personality defects, and his inability to maintain composure under fire.

But no, the reporters all gave him a pass in 2016. Not one of them asked him a hardball question during the entire campaign. Meanwhile they grilled Hillary to hell and back about those stupid emails and Benghazi!
