It's my understanding that Mueller's obligation is to present a report to Rod Rosenstein at the conclusion of his investigation. Rosenstein could then release it to Congress, to the public, or not release it at all. Now that Whitaker is in charge (supposedly), what if he decides to keep the report confidential? Could Congress subpoena it?

(9,874 posts)Hiring of Mueller by the House as its council would give Trump an argument that Mueller was biased against him because Mueller had an axe to grind due to his firing by Trump. Calling Mueller as a witness would be a much better idea imo.

Not a report, but all the evidence nevertheless.
