I can think of a bunch of cases where it was reported that the Justice Department was "investigating" possible violations of law. Just tonight, they are "investigating" whether Pennsylvania's new voter id law is illegal under the Civil Rights Act.
But I can't think of any case in which they've actually taken action on anything.
(Except maybe with the Arizona immigration laws?)
I just have this image of them saying they will investigate something, but then not taking it to the next level. Like with the decisions not to prosecute the Wall Street banks after the financial crisis.
Help me out?

But then again, would another appointee have acted all that differently? This is how the game goes.
