Donald Trump had a lot to say about Californias forest management in the wake of the states deadly wildfires and many officials are saying the president got it completely wrong.
There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor, Trump tweeted on Saturday. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!
The following day he added, With proper Forest Management, we can stop the devastation constantly going on in California. Get Smart!
Speaking out against the threat, California Professional Firefighters President Brian Rice said that the president had gotten it dangerously wrong.
Pointing out that the state of California should hardly be blamed when the majority of forests are not under their control, he added, it is is the federal government that has chosen to divert resources away from forest management, not California.

"If" the Mueller Investigation fails to destroy any chance of Trump being reelected, California voters, celebrities and firefighters will!

(67,112 posts)to be president. What gets me are these idiots that support him waving their little flags claiming to be patriots. FFS, he doesn't give a damn about them, the people of the country or the country. FFS, many in this country have had a massive brain meltdown. I attribute much of it to Fox News and the bullshit they spread 7x24. It's become a country wherein many can not think for themselves.

(15,235 posts)Don't people realize flame-bait, Opening Posts, which mention Fox makes them look like Freepers?
For the record, in a civil lawsuit Fox was forced to prove, in court, Fox is not a news media; but instead entertainment media.
Not long afterward, several, attractive female announcers, working at Fox, filed lawsuits - FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT - against Fox and Rupert Murdoch and other executive at the corporation.

(1,148 posts)...Californians are somehow less "American" than everyone else. We can look forward to at least two more years of demonization of California by Trump and the right. As a Chicagoan, I know this stigmatization well. We always get blamed for homicides and they are always making it sound like life here is horrible. Any place that votes blue is not worthy of consideration. What's more, this administration and its defenders increasingly have a policy of limiting their compassion for victims of disasters - whether natural (forest fires, hurricanes) or caused by humans (mass shootings). Used to be that repubs at least made a show of concern when lives were lost.
I'm wondering what sort of Bible these "Christians" are reading. They don't believe in compassion for anyone but themselves anymore.

(90,758 posts)Which is how Hillary "lost" despite having 3,000,000 more votes than Trump. Not picking on Wisconsin in particular, the same goes for all the low-population rural states. Their vote is worth a lot more than mine.
