They need to stay on message when ther down turn hits. The Trump economy, say it loud and say it often so people understand who crashed the economy.

Democrats can also use the line (fact) that President Obama left a vibrant economy that Trump slowly weakened over two years.

that he is lying (again) and instead show factually how it is his policies that have led to the downturn and why we need to get rid of a lying president. Then we need to get our own well developed proposals in front of voters so they can see, such as our affordable health care for all plan, returning the tax scam money they stole from taxpayers and use it for middle class tax cuts and infrastucture/jobs, renewable energy/climate change/jobs, strengthening social security and Medicare into the future, and other popular democratic initiatives, passed in the House and ready to deliver to the people. That is, if the people are smart enough to vote for a democratic President and democratic majorities in 2020.
