https://krcrtv.com/news/camp-fire/cal-fire-map-now-shows-images-of-homes-destroyed-in-camp-fire?utm_source=taboola
A map created by Cal Fire showing which homes have been destroyed by the Camp Fire is now showing photos of the properties.

The map shows the homes in five different colors.

Red means the home was destroyed, orange means the home suffered major damage, yellow means the home suffered minor damage, green means the home was affected, and black means there was no visible damage to the home. http://calfire-forestry.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=5306cc8cf38c4252830a38d467d33728&extent=-13547810.5486%2C4824920.1673%2C-13518764.4778%2C4841526.1117%2C102100

How do you rebuild from this? In the best of circumstances, it will take decades to replace what was lost and what do the people who have been displaced do in the meantime?

That one fire would have destroyed every property and every tree, farm etc in Jamaica. That's the Cale e're dealing with here - ruler destruction.

Imagine that scale of destruction in your own neighborhood. The first 99 homes you pass, charred, only chimneys left standing. Only the 100th is standing, for reasons known only to fire, looking mournfully at the ashes of its neighbors.

Block after block

Neighborhood after neighborhood

Mile after mile after mile
