Criticism of Trump seems to be the real reason behind the death of the Khashoggi's death.

4. That was my first thought: Saudis murdered him on Trump's behalf. It was a hit job.

Having the Saudis do it gave Trump plausible deniability. Deal was: "you murder him and I'll cover for you in the US"

Just "conspiracy theory" at this point though. It would be interesting to see this investigated further.

there are a lot of journalists who aver that Trump has an incoherent foreign policy. I just want to know did our CIA tell Trump about the threat to Khashoggi? When did they tell him? Did he instruct them not to warn Khashoggi the danger he was in? The CIA is bound by law to warn an individual who is under threat.

It seems to me those would be good questions for Adam Schiff to ask our intelligence.

5. Who will rid me of this troublesome journalist?

While lots of people have criticized the Great Pumpkin, it seems possible that Trump complained bitterly to MBS that Khashoggi was their problem, and that every time he tries to do something some court gets in his way, and you don't have that problem do you, and MBS taking that as permission and encouragement to fix the problem for la Donald.
