Crimson trees have put the White House in a very red state.

6. Yes it's way too much and mostly hideous, HOWEVER ...

... she did a nice job with the Lincoln fireplace and the trees on either side of the mantle. I think this scene is tasteful and nicely done. You can see it at 00:40 on the Youtube video.

She could have stopped there and it would have been awesome, but NO! She brought in another 3 dozen Christmas trees and it's like the Holidays in Hell.

Personally, I'd think the rest of the White House should have less designer, more folksy appearance with handmade ornaments and decorations that reflect our country and all of its inhabitants. Something that stands out about each and every state and territory, something about each ethnic group that makes our country what it is, etc. Maybe even a world tree allowing for donations from around the world of decorations that would reflect each country, something to be passed down through each administration.


It just seems to me that the decorations should reflect the people. Nothing, except maybe the two above, reflect anything like what would be found in most American homes.
