Putin's goons are not exactly kind to Russians who turn. Like Paul Manafort, she may prefer jail to what awaits her if she sings.

Same as Hope Hicks, she will sing like Adele.

Buttina probably knows enough witness protection might be on the table.

work the system. Do recall a Certain Bundy Family member doing the same in Portland. And the Feds told him see you in the Hole. Where he ended up until his trial.

Torture? For giving an inmate her lawyer's number?

I don't approve of torture. I don't believe the ends justify the means.

(1) Was Butina trying to help an inmate get a good lawyer for her own case or
(2) Was Butina trying to set-up a conduit to her lawyer through this inmate.

And might agree here. But if someone is in jail, not prison, denyed bail as a flight risk is then caught violating communication rules, Pre-trial, well, I still might agree with you. But need more information before I conclude totally.

Does solitary in jail equal that in prison? What was she trying to communicate? Are they worried about an attempt to silence her, ie Whitey Bulger?

But I do normally think solitary, like the death penalty, is a human rights violation. Can’t help it, I’m a liberal!

For all we know Putin may have a huge contract out on her life. I think it is protective custody.
