Fail to the Redskins

Washington Redskins claim Reuben Foster off waivers

Former 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was claimed off waivers by the Redskins on Tuesday days after he was cut by San Francisco following a weekend arrest in Tampa, Florida, on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence battery, Washington announced.

A police report obtained by NFL.com from the Hillsborough County (Fla.) Sheriff's office Sunday morning stated Foster was booked into jail at 11:11 p.m. ET on a first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence charge. Foster was arrested by Tampa police at 9:10 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt hotel, where the Niners were staying before their game against the Buccaneers.

Foster's career in San Francisco ended after just 16 games with the team. He has had multiple run-ins with the law since being drafted by the 49ers 31st overall in 2017.

Foster was charged in January in Alabama with second-degree marijuana possession. That charge was eventually dismissed after he completed a first-time offender diversion course.

Foster then faced more serious charges for an incident in California in February. He was initially charged in April with felonies for domestic violence, making criminal threats and weapons possession after being accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend.

Snyder induces in pretty much every arena. On the field, in the stadium, in the ticket line, in the locker room...

During the playoff game I noticed that there was a ply board shack type structure painted (badly) red. Cheap ass crap in a NFL stadium for a tam worth a billion dollars. Typical Snyder. .

8. Yeah. Hire old free agents like a drunken sailor, paint the dirt green and call it a field.

There's a reason he (and Vinny Cerrato) got a reputation as a moron who ageing stars looked to for the last big contract after they couldn't play anymore.

The story is that Marshall used to allow the local reporters to make the 17th round draft pick knowing what a crapshoot it was at that stage in that era, until one year they picked a player whose name Marshall thought "sounded black." Apparently that's where Marshall flew off the handle at the mere thought of having "one of those" on his team, and took back the goodwill effort with the local press. The kicker is that the player turned out to be white.

I do have trouble documenting it, but it would definitely fit Marshall's behaviour.

Lots of fans in the Carolinas, Georgia, etc. Heck, I'd suggest that "Fight for Old Dixie" was just being honest.

Not that I'd care to make the case that George Preston Marshall was what you'd call progressive. I think we're all clear on who was the last team in the NFL to integrate.

DC to Miami to New Orleans. Most of it was Redskin country.

The Browns were much the same. My relatives in West Virginia saw Browns game every Sunday.

That should be a bit of a hint toward overall moron status...someone to stay away from.

He argued with a medical worker, essentially a, "Do you know who I am?" type of thing.
