Sit the fool down with a lie detector and video camera and just make him talk!
We're all going around and around, piecing together fragments of emails and videos and phone calls..
None of this exercise is normal or needed: We've been investigating this crap now for so long, we are eccepting that we have to go through all of it. We don't. It's already all available if we make the fools talk. Done. End of story. Throw the bum out!
This is not a game! This is a stolen election and we have the players and the evidence.
Every gop house member who refused to check the idiot should all go.

(16,940 posts)is that there are "about 20" in the Senate that continue to support this lame-ass bastard!

(7,142 posts)by not voting for judges, but who else in the Senate doesn't support Trump? They all support Trump, including Susan Collins.

(16,940 posts)I took the number "20" from what was quoted as being short regarding impeachment.
I agree - you show your true colors by your votes for judges - simple as that.
"Protest" and make "special requests" - as you mentioned - Sen. Flake (my god, what an appropriate name!) "insisted" on a special investigation regarding the Supreme Court nominee - allowed it to be a sham of an "investigation" - and voted for the rapist anyhow!
It was all empty grandstanding - a worthless event.

(22,055 posts)Do those characteristics sound like Trump to you?
Regardless, Trump already told us about his motivations. He told Lester Holt that he obstructed justice by firing Comey. He told us during the campaign that he loves Wikileaks. There are many other examples where Trump has revealed his thoughts. Simply, the man is too stupid to keep his fat mouth shut.
Anyway, the process is what we have. The upside is that every single day will get worse for Trump. The pressure will increase on him especially once the new Congress is sworn in and they begin to do their work.
It'll be a rough ride but there is much more than just hope that Trump & Co. will be taken down.

(37,648 posts)He also has a ringer in Kavanaugh instaled on the S.Ct. bench, now. Along with another Trumper, Gorsuch, both of whom are aligned with Clarence Thomas and Alito....Trump is off the hook for accountability.
The most we can expect is to get him out of office. He will NEVER leave of his own accord, even if he loses in 2020. He will have to be forced out.

(9,090 posts)every advertiser that supports trump putin talk radio needs to be asked if they actually support trump - until they either declare they love him or start looking elsewhere
when the talk radio monopoly falls apart he'll lose his most important weapon/ally - what keeps his base together and intimidates r-con reps and senators

(37,648 posts)and esp considering how complex it is...various crimes spanning the globe, involving a number of different people committing different types of crimes, subpoenaing all the documents and digital data of many people, hundreds of hours reviewing all the emails and documents, and interviewing various people, referring certain crimes to other districts, filing and obtaining numerous indictments, attending Grand Jury hearings, meetings among the investigators, etc.
The Watergate investigation, which was kindergarten level compared to this, took two years.
