5. You're right. I remember many on the left suggesting Bush would institute Marshal Law in 2008...

...so he could cancel the elections and keep power. Then again, I swear I heard the same thing in 2000 with Clinton and I know we'll hear the same thing in 2016 with Obama.

Obama's birth certificate is one conspiracy theory. The idea that he will round up conservatives and put them in camps is quite another. You don't hear the latter much in the mainstream because it's even loonier than birtherism.
