I wish we would be discussing lots of OTHER problems. Divide and conquer will only work if we let it happen!!!

(11,746 posts)As best as I can tell these are radicals. Radicalism is subversive.
I have pondered this for years. I have pushed a simple message, vote Democratic, as a tactic. How can anyone argue? How can anyone take offense at "vote Democratic?" Yet they do and I have even had posts hidden for simply saying those two words.
Got any other ideas? I am listening.

(17,030 posts)If EVERYONE here would just say that!! "Vote Democratic" That would stop division.

(11,746 posts)Keep it simple. Be direct. Find common ground.
It always bothered me that we had so much more in common yet worked so hard at being divisive. I really don't differ from radicals on substance. Their radicalism is almost all about process. I never opposed Sanders, I just preferred Hillary Clinton because she was more qualified and clearly the winner. But, alas, several radical ex-friends insisted upon telling me that my motives were otherwise.
Sigh. I gave up on them. It is unfortunate but they were too obnoxious. Subversive.

(3,259 posts)1) We just beat up on Republicans in an election. Thats the most important beating.
2) In a two party system there better be some internal strife. If there wasnt then the Green Party wouldnt be as marginalized as it currently is and would have an even greater impact in our elections.

(7,543 posts)is a 'story' from The Hill, Politico or the NYT editorial section. Simply stop linking 'stories' from those that carry water for Republicans. They spew right-wing propaganda and nothing more. It doesn't stop there. Be suspicious of any article covering Dem candidates.
Edit* Bottom line is that if you repeat Republican propaganda you're helping the other side.

(11,495 posts)Lots of divisive posts lately all trying to stir things up. It's the season when the trouble makers start coming in to DU to stir things up and prepare for the primaries with the same kind of crap they pulled back in 2016.
Just remember "don't feed the trolls."
