Now they want to "work together"

McCarthy is such a tool. Republicans only want to “work together” when they are in the minority but humiliate and degrade Democrats when they are in control.

Republicans have lead the most corrupt congress in history and empowered the most corrupt president in US history. You will reap what you have sowed ten fold.

"We'll obstruct you at every turn"? We know they will, but this speech wasn't really the time and place to declare that.

I'd get in front of the cameras and say "we look forward to the Republicans working with us to...." and then lay out the Democratic agenda. Cut this BS off right where it starts. They want Dems to be "bi-partisan" as in work across the aisle to pass a GOP agenda. No, if they want bi-parisanship, let them work across the aisle to help pass stuff the party in the majority was elected to do.

What republicans mean by “compromise”:
85% what republicans want
10% of what nobody wants
5% of what Democrats want

You should no more compromise with a republican than mud wrestle with a pig. You both get covered in mud but the republican likes it.

My other favorite saying:
Compromise is great as long as you are not the one being compromised.

How many times did the previous Republican-held House invite dialogue on pending legislation with the Democrats?

How many times did they instead rely on a straight party-line vote and push thru what they could, rather than involve Democrats in drafting the legislation?
