Reminds me of the Beltway Sniper-- one of his victims was shot at a Home Depot a few miles from where I live. There were multiple "witnesses" who saw a white van speeding away. Turns out the shooter was in a parking lot on the other side of a four lane highway.

I'm sure the witnesses descriptions of the white van were accurate. But that vehicle had nothing to do with the crime.
