(3,438 posts)Yet, this "clever" guy somehow convinced odious oaf in WH that the things he [mulvaney] said in the past about him and his silly wall, well were in the past, and now--he likes trump; thinks he's just a swell guy. Perhaps it's that adage keep your friends close and your enemies closer b/c as observed, trump does not forgive any slight from anyone. [Imo that is]

Mick Mulvaney, President Trumps pick to be acting White House chief of staff, described Mr. Trump in 2016 as a terrible human being who had said disgusting and indefensible things about women on the infamous Access Hollywood recording.

(24,324 posts)NO WAY I can remember all the forked tongue stuff.
They get away with it because of a decades long decline in attention span.
How many people can sit through a Bruckner symphony? Or even the Overture to Candide?
Or anything longer than about 2 seconds.

(46,753 posts)Its not a wall, its a steel barrier, therefore, your previous objections to a wall are no longer valid.

(46,753 posts)I'm living in a Republican head-honcho enclave. Powerful enough to "persuade" more than a few Democratic local leaders to join their overreaches. Just never expected to see this kind of behavior so blatantly displayed at a federal level.
Trump's way of thinking is very much in line with what I've witnessed from living near a Country Club. I was writing about property line incursions and that naturally flowed into the full story of fraud and conspiracy that took place in my community. Response No. 3 in this thread if you're interested.
