he couldn't negotiate funding for his stupid wall when republicans had control of both houses of congress.

now he's looking into declaring a fake emergency in order to grab extraordinary powers to do things he couldn't do through the normal process of negotiating -- from a position of strength, with unified control of all branches of government.

But Trump actually talks about declaring a national emergency and using the military within the country to go against the legislature and make himself paramount, and they nod along with him.
