Listening to Hardball now the consensus is that Trump's only way out of this corner he backed himself into is to invoke a National Emergency. They are saying that Trump would come out looking good if he did.

They are basically in the process of normalizing Trump's behavior as an autocrat in this situation and green lighting him to do it.

So everytime Trump pushes the crazy envelope - the MSM let him get away with things and normalize his behavior.
