How long will it take to build the entire wall from SE CA to SW TX?

Why don't Trump,Pelosi,Schumer,and McConnell agree to open up the government and hold a US House and Senate special committee hearing on Boarder Security on whether the wall in necessary? The committee members can get expert witnesses to testify in front of the commitee under oath with the penalty of perjury.

And bring in engineers to discuss the real cost of a wall. And the amount of time it would take. My guess is that it is a 10-15 year project. And it would cost way more than anyone thinks.
