Speaking Of Women Who Should Join The Race For President, I'd Love To DRAFT Maria Cantwell.

This would be MY fantasy pick for the first female President of the United States. Maria Cantwell, Senator from Washington State, originally from Indiana, attended university in Ohio. Age 60 (aka a 'teenager' in Senate years.) Holds a B.A. in Public Administration. She's brilliant, and is a master of energy policy. Ranking member of Senate Energy and Commerce committees,

She has been a tremendous Senator for the upper left hand corner! We have four great Senators in the Pacific Northwest.

The Democratic bench is REALLY deep. Governors like Hickenlooper and Inslee look good. Senators Harris, Booker, and Klobuchar make my list too. Julian Castro should be on the ticket.

I'm proud of the work she has done representing Washington State. "Fighting Patty" Murray gets the headlines, and deservedly so for her work on behalf of veterans. But Senator Cantwell does the job with grace, poise, and intelligence.
