Why does Steve Bannon keep promoting Tulsi Gabbard?

Like when he got her a meeting with Trump

Steve Bannon, former chief strategist to President Donald Trump, was fond of Gabbard and set up a meeting between Trump and the Hawaii congresswoman during the 2016 transition. In a statement at the time, Gabbard said she would "never allow partisanship to undermine our national security when the lives of countless people lay in the balance.”

Why does he praise her positions on "radical Islam"?

Yet the starry-eyed anointment of Gabbard has obscured the more unsavory aspects of her politics — so unsavory, in fact, that White House adviser Steve Bannon has reportedly spoken well of her. From her vigorous opposition to the Iran nuclear deal to her obsession with “radical Islam” to her love for the far-right Indian leader Narendra Modi, Gabbard is far from the progressive hero many assume her to be.

Why did Steve Bannon name drop Gabbard when he called US trade policy a "hate crime" against white people?

Why did Bannon praise her unsanctioned trip to Syria at a time when President Obama was trying to limit US legitimization of the regime?

Why is Steve Bannon so enamored of this particular Democrat?
