The Democrats in the House will have to decide whether or not to impeach Donald J Trump?
Or do they wait for two years - until the next election - and hope to win back the Presidency?
Much will depend on whether or not Republicans in the Senate are persuaded by the evidence presented?
Or they, themselves, may be complicit in taking Russian contributions?
But how can Republicans be persuaded if there is not an impeachment trial?
Is it so easy to predict the heart of man?
Americans, Democrats and Republicans alike, should take a good look around. They can see the negative impact of this shutdown. These are the times that try men's souls.

(22,670 posts)If Trump is a national security threat, Dems may not need to act, other than to feed intel to the the FBI and SCO to finish their investigation. With Trump's espionage against the United States as a traitorous act and the subsequent obstruction of the May 8th memo to fire Comey, where Pence and McGahn were there and part of that action to impede the Russia investigation, impeachment may be the least of their worries.
