What in the fuck is going on? What the fuck does everybody think the Mueller investigation is about. This is not new. I knew it was an espionage investigation a long time. I knew it was a national security problem a long time ago.

This is an awfully long chess game to get to what everyone already suspects and knows. Release the NSA intercepts, the foreign intel, the Cypriot bank records, the Trump Tower / Alfa Bank data streams, etc etc and lock these fuckers up. Enough already.

5. Well it's certainly something many at DU have surmised, but

the news here is that Trump himself has been the target of the investigation since before Mueller started. And the fact that it is a counterintelligence investigation rather than just criminal opens up a whole set of operations and authorities they are likely to have used. They probably have been directly monitoring Trump's communications and may have even fed him false information to see what he would do with it. Feeding false information would be questionable in a criminal probe, but not in counterintelligence.
