I don't understand, enlighten me?

News yesterday is the FBI investigated Don the Con. I don't understand how this is news because I thought the FBI was part of the Mueller investigation. Are they 2 separate things?

I'm confused. Thank you DU for enlightening me.

The counterintelligence investigation was folded into Mueller's investigation. Mueller is technically working for DOJ rather than FBI, but he does have FBI agents assigned to him.
