AOC is a lot different than Tulsi IMO.

(2,497 posts)Just a smear against AOC. Ideologically, they could not be more different and still be called Democrats.

(35,454 posts)Both are flamethrowers and both are currently targeting other Dems and if you look upthread you'd see I made note of their ideological differences

I don't agree with everything she is doing, but I don't understand why there is such a strong faction that appears to feel threatened by her. That type of weird reaction makes me think she is touching a very important nerve, which makes me like her even more.

(2,497 posts)Both are getting a lot of attention on twitter. Has about as much validity as comparing her to Gabbard

(35,454 posts)If you're a supporter that's your right. As for me I'm watching to see how things play out and when I see similarities between people I don't mind saying so as closed eyes lead to mistakes where politics are concerned. Tulsi is more of an Individual 1 match and I believe I read at some point I read she would be open to joining his cabinet. As for AOC, she's been in Congress for less than 2 weeks so actually, the story on her is yet to be told.

(2,497 posts)The thing that bothers me are the democrats on this site which tend to identify with the entrenched party leadership are ganging up on her, looking to cast shade any chance they get.
I guess I would call myself a supporter of hers, but mainly because I like the way she is shaking things up. Whether she can translate that into a successful career is still an open questions.

(53,787 posts)Gabbard is wasting her time running. I think AOC is finally figuring it out that her formula for winning her deep blue district doesn't work in most other parts of the country.
Hope she disavows her ties to the Justice Democrats who push that.

(2,728 posts)She'll be weeded out pretty early.
Like with Jim Webb in 2016, most Democrats will be saying "who?"
Then we will say "nah, I don't really agree with that."

(38,958 posts)voters then that's fine. I don't see her getting anywhere, but I don't see any problem with her running.

(2,897 posts)It's going to amount to nothing since she decided to go kiss the Trump ring shortly after he was elected. If anything, she's just going to take votes away from Bernie (from followers that remember her endorsement solely and want a younger race on the ticket) and possibly cost her a house seat.
