3. On one level I think he does want his big ol' vanity Great Wall of Trump

but even more than that he wants the fight. He knows his base will desert him if he doesn't fight for it. He was willing to sign the spending package w/o it until limpballs and the coultergeist screeched. I think he knows that if he caves on this, the worst of the worst (i.e. his biggest fans) will jump ship and the pukes in Congress will be freed up to abandon him too. This is all he's got.

And although I think he is a Russian asset, I don't think he gets "orders." Just advice and suggestions and ideas--which he takes because he is easy to manipulate, he still wants his other white whale (Trump Tower Moscow) and he's a brain-dead chaos agent on his best days.
