ESPN headline - Clemson players cheer fast food at White House

On the ESPN front page

White House serves fast food on silver platters for Clemson celebration

Some players "whooped" when they saw the spread, according a pool report.
That’s the only part of the story that backs up the headline. The rest is Trump running his mouth.

These teams have nutritionists who would never let them have that junk.

Alabama’s linemen are notoriously poor performers at the scouting combine. After a season of grinding under Saban and sticking to the training table they go hog wild and aren’t ready for the Combine in March.

Over the past 3 years, 31 Alabama players have been drafted (12 in 2018, 10 in 2017, 9 in 2016), including 10 linemen.

Clemson, on the other hand, has had 18 players drafted in those three years (3 in 2018, 6 in 2017, 9 in 2016), and only 4 linemen.

I think it was in Cowherds show.

Basically scouts go with what the saw in film. The Bama guys had usually taken an extended time “off” after their season ended so their running, lifting, jumping numbers at the combine were not going to be much to go by.

In other words - ignore the combine on the Bama guys. Particularly linemen.
