RIP Phyllis Diller passed on at age 95

"When I realized I looked like Olive Oyl and wanted to look like Jean Harlow, I knew something had to be done," she once said. "From 12 on, the only way to handle the terror of social situations was comedy — break the ice, make everybody laugh. I did it to make people feel more relaxed, including myself."--Phyllis Diller

Saw earlier today and didn't realize she was still around. Amazing that she was 95. She was a classic along with the likes of Bob Hope and Lucille Ball.

R.I.P. and thanks for the memories!

One of the first to get cosmetic surgery and openly talk about it and make jokes about it (of course it was obvious!). She was really funny. I have fond memories of seeing her on TV numerous times, when I was a child, with her funny A-lined loud dresses, big messy hair, overdone makeup, ciggie in a cigarette holder, and loud mouth. She was something else. God bless her. May she live on as the legend she was.
