The governor here in Maine is trying to roll back Medicaid assistance in a big bad way. Do you

think the federal government will support that? How will the ACA help those families who get the boot? I don't see how a family of four on $40k a year can afford insurance that can cost as much as $1600/mo. That's more than a lot of mortgages around here.

Payment of which was needed to trigger Federal payments double that amount?


The insurance industry had a stranglehold on Maine, probably still do. It's a wonder any hospitals can survive there.

I work for a non profit hospice. The state is always way behind in it's payments.
