OBAMA To ROMNEY: "This is not an entitlement, being President of the United States."

THE PRESIDENT: Well, first of all, I'm not sure all those characterizations that you laid out there were accurate. For example, nobody accused Mr. Romney of being a felon.
. . .

Now, if you look at the overall trajectory of our campaign and the ads that I've approved and are produced by my campaign, you'll see that we point out sharp differences between the candidates, but we don't go out of bounds. And when it comes to releasing taxes, that's a precedent that was set decades ago, including by Governor Romney's father. And for us to say that it makes sense to release your tax returns, as I did, as John McCain did, as Bill Clinton did, as the two President Bushes did, I don't think is in any way out of bounds.

I think that is what the American people would rightly expect -- is a sense that, particularly when we're going to be having a huge debate about how we reform our tax code and how we pay for the government that we need, I think people want to know that everybody has been playing by the same rules, including people who are seeking the highest office in the land. This is not an entitlement, being President of the United States. This is a privilege. And we've got to put ourselves before the American people to make our case.

He was nominated by the Republicans in Missouri.

After all, his own father was a champion of full disclosure and transparency on taxes.

Nevertheless, Mitt chose to go ahead and run assuming he'd be allowed to play by his own rules like he always does. The entitlement mindset is strong in this one.

This whole tax thing speaks volumes about Mitt's character. A complete lack of ordinary common sense. He's been aiming for the presidency for years: right down to getting into one major elective office to give him the gravitas. Wealthy as he is, there's no reason for him not to have had his ducks in a row, regarding taxes.

I've been doing some calling for the Obama campaign. All Mitt's supporters are simply anti-Obama. They neither know nor care much about Romney. They'd vote for the real Darth Vader before President Obama. Mitt is a virtual void to them, just "the other guy."

Your president have style, your president have a swung and bite when he have to.. It took him long enough to stop being nice to the Republicans - but now I hope he will bite and beat them, when he need to be - and give the republicans - and Romney/Ryan what they deserve... A real long beat down. Something it is a long time since the republicans have been worried about...

The MittWit, Willard the Mendacious, is the God-chosen Inheritor of the Ruling Class, entitled to be the President. The (s)election is a mere formality and the servants of the Ruling Class are making all preparations (voter disenfranchisement, limited and faulty polling place resources, software 'tweaks', etc.) needed to overcome the nuisance of the election.

Just pure class. That's why it's so amazing/amusing to hear the repukes say the President is "hate-mongering." Is telling the truth "hate mongering?" Are the repukes aware, even to the tiniest degree, that they're deliberately exaggerating, lying, and vilifying the President? That the President has done and is doing a damn fine job?? If they believe their lies are the truth, they're nuts. And if they know that Obama is doing a good job, then they're nuts. Do they know they're racist? Either way you slice it... THEY'RE NUTS!!! And so are their followers.
