MO conservatives comment on the Akin mess

These comments were posted on a KC Star article about Akin this evening. Many of them explain how he got elected in the first place. (Akin has not lost an election since he ran initially for state house in 1988.)

If you Google "rape and pregnancy" and look at dates long before this you'll find a lot of support for his position that rape rarely results in pregnancy.

Akin tried to hurry to the criminal issue...instead of the abortion issue....and he hurried with the wrong words......THAT is what happened. And we lose a good God-fearing patriot because of it.

Thanks Democrats. Remember...we still WIN.

The country is crumbling around us, we are poised on the financial cliff thanks to uncontrolled spending and Obama is pushing hard to replace capitalism with socialism and all the loony liberals can talk about is this one dumb comment from a candidate for the Senate. I think this clearly shows why any Republican is always better than a democrat.

I am just so sick of the liberal media and the loud mouth hypocritical liberals. They have almost destroyed our country. We have got to energize the conservatives and get them going. We sat back on the sidelines for too long and let these despicable people do damage to this country.

I hope and pray that Akin will ignore the media's calls for him to quit this race. If he quits, you can bet that the GOP will stick some namby-pamby plain vanilla RINO in there. We need LEADERSHIP and VALUES (as in Akin), not some milquetoast piece of crap who stands for NOTHING. Listen up GOP, we are SICK of RINO's!!!!! Akin can beat McCaskill!!!

Akin needs to drop out. Sometimes gaffes are so ludicrous there is no way to recover. The press will hammer until you have no choice. That's what happened ten years ago to Trent Lott. When you come from out of nowhere to lead the national news for 48 hours and alarm and distract everyone else in your party, that is a show stopper. The problem is, Akin is unprepared for the spotlight and prone to do this again and distract everyone, and potentially lose the Republican Senate majority.

but rather to another poster's question about there being enough overly religious types in Missouri to still vote for the man.
