Yes, they sure did know it. They analyzed every single detail about Ryan. Especially his past voting record in Congress.
And they still picked Ryan as Romney's VP.
Doesn't that say a lot?

Just like Gramps, Rmoney was the last clown standing in the demolition derby and inherited a divided and unhinged party. Willard is still trying to convince his own party of being a "severe conservative" and knew he had to find someone/anyone who could keep that "base" happy.
Here's the rub. His voting record with the great unhinged is "stellar". However, when that same record is presented in the real world it shows how disconnected and what a hypocrite he is. However on faux noise and on hate radio he's the new Raygun or at least will keep Willard in check. It's a shotgun marriage that will be intersting to see how it unfolds just like it was with Mooselini in '08. Will Ryan play to smiling second banana to Willard's lying and weaseling or will he get frustrated as the polls don't improve and decide that HE is what people are paying attention to and goes rogue.
Be assured the people who have analyzed all of Eddie Munster's background are in offices in downtown Chicago and salivating...
Cheers...

(92,219 posts)not dumb, but the whole republican party is mean-spirited, racist, anti-women, anti poor, anti-senior, etc.
Other than that they are ok

(32,712 posts)Stubborn Willard decided to take a big risk, imo. He was betting against the common sense of women and seniors.

(32,086 posts)Next week, they are going to adopt a party platform that is exactly what Todd Akin and Paul Ryan have been saying, save for this latest stupid comment about not getting pregnant if one is raped. They want a constitutional amendment that bans ALL abortion, most contraception, in vitro fertilization, and stem cell research. Mitt has been so wishy-washy about these matters, and they realize they're stuck with him on the top of their ticket. I think they picked Paul Ryan purposely because of what he supports. And, he's soooo dreaaaamy! Yep, it certainly does say a lot.
