There you have it. An admission of a perfunctory apology straight from the his mouth.
No, I don't have a link to the video. It was just broadcast on ABC a couple of minutes ago.

(11,795 posts)I love it. How can someone be so frickin' clueless.
He must take clue cues from Romney's campaign.

(31,706 posts)When his name is on the ballot on it requires a court challenge to remove it. While Akin's remarks would be politically lethal in many states, we're looking at a state where the fundie vote can have a sway and this is sure to be driving Akin's desire to fight and stay in the race. Preliminary polls show him still ahead and he's gotta think he can weather this thing. We'll see if he can...and AFAIC if he sticks around past this afternoon, that's fine with me as it'll cost millions to get his name off the ballot...money that could have gone to attack ads. Also this will rip open wounds between the various rushpublican factions on the eve of their coven in Tampa that already promises to turn into a circus (remember, the Paulbots and Grifterlla will be holding a shadow convention up the street).
Get the popcorn folks...
May Akin think he's on some kind of divine mission here and take a lot of other rushpublicans down with him. The longer the talk is about Akin the worse it gets for rushpublicans across the country. Run Todd Run!!! Jebus loves ya!!!

(17,651 posts)My comment to WRAL and Bill Leslie:
Bill Leslie called what this medieval nut job said was "a gaffe". When you agree with the co-sponsor of a bill(Paul Ryan), when you throw 100% support behind the spirit of that bill, when you openly admit your stance on a particular issue such has "forcible rape" THAT is NO GAFFE.
He said what he meant as does Paul Ryan and if the Republican Party thinks that American women are on board with their archaic, delusional opinions of nonsense, then they will be in for a rude awakening come November.
The majority of women in this country will not be suppressed.
No gaffe, no pass.
